It was said that, “Volunteers do not get paid, not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless (Sherry Anderson)”. This is certainly a true statement that the RSVP volunteers of Portsmouth prove through their daily involvement in the community. Whether they are serving meals to the homeless at Oasis or conducting resident wellness checks at Effingham Plaza; one by one these volunteers are making an impact. That’s what the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Portsmouth is all about “Serving the Community”.

We have a need for volunteers ages 14 and up (such as, for weekend bingo games every Saturday from 9:30-4 PM and Sunday from 5:30-10 PM. The age is 55 and better for those wishing to become a Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteer.
