Eating Healthy At Primeplus Norfolk Senior Center

We all know that eating right can help you maintain a healthy weight and avoid certain health problems, but your diet can also have a profound effect on your mood and sense of wellbeing. Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, cooking meals at home, and reducing your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates, on the other hand, may help to improve mood and lower your risk for mental health problems.

At Primeplus Norfolk Senior Center we provide more than 1,100 hot, home-cooked meals to seniors in South Hampton Roads each month. Seniors in South Hampton Roads who participate in our Nutrition Program reside in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Suffolk.  We serve a hot lunch for adults age 60 and older Monday-Friday starting at 11:30 am.
